Help:Editing

From HN Group Wiki, the encyclopedia of HN Group and its companies
This page explains how to edit articles on HN Group Wiki.

Any member of HN Group staff can edit HN Group Wiki. Select Staff sign in at the top of any page and sign in with your staff account, then choose Edit on the article you want to change. Use Show preview to check your changes before you publish them, and add a short summary of what you changed.

Every change is kept in the article's View history tab, so any version can be viewed and restored. Some pages, such as the Main Page, are protected so that only wiki administrators (the system owner and Super Admin members) can change them.

| Parent = [[HN Group]]
| Website = [https://example.co.uk example.co.uk]
}}

Any | Label = value line becomes a row. Logos are the approved HN Group logo files; the white version is shown automatically in dark mode.

Other templates

  • {{Main|Page}} — "Main article" note under a heading
  • {{Hatnote|text}} — a short italic note at the top of a section
  • {{Stub}} — marks an article that needs expanding
  • {{Swatch|#5514B4}} — a colour swatch

Good practice

  • Write in a neutral, factual tone, like an encyclopedia.
  • Only add information that's accurate and suitable for the public: the wiki can be read by anyone. Don't add personal details, passwords, internal system details or anything confidential.
  • Back up facts with references, such as pages on the group's websites.
